Langtang Gosaikunda Trek is a religious holy journey that’s more of an adventure in tandem with nature at its Godly best. You get to visit some of the most naturally beautiful landscapes in the world…
Gosainkunda Lake trekking is an exciting pilgrimage adventure in the gentle wilderness of Langtang region. The myth goes that lord shiva made this lake when he plunged his trishul [trident] into a mountain for water; to cool his burning throat when he mistakenly took poison. There is a large rock in the center of the lake, which is said to be the remains of a Shiva shrine. People often claim they see Shiva lying in the water. The Langtang Gosainkunda Lake trek witnesses pilgrims in huge numbers in August; when at midnight a bright moon appears causing devotees to perform a ritual by taking a dip in the sacred lake.
Gosainkunda Lake trek blends in well with the perfectly balanced ecosystems; and the flora and fauna, coupled with the breathtaking scenery and friendly welcoming communities we meet on the way to the holy lakes of Gosainkunda; makes this journey a truly memorable holiday. The hike also cuts across high passes with magnificent mountain landscapes in view. It’s a perfect holiday for those seeking adventure amidst the peaceful thoughts of God that we see in the beauty of nature. This trek will give you sublime peace and help you get rid of your demons…
