Visa Process
As you come out from the airport luggage claim, you will need to take your on arrival visa. The fees for the visas are $30 USD for 15 days, $50 for 30 days. You can complete other necessary paper work. This formality is not applicable to Indian citizens and NRNs.
Transport Options
After you come out of the arrival gate, you will find prepaid taxis with a fixed price normally costing NRS 1000. They will take you off to your location that lies within Kathmandu Valley. You will also find online ride services like Pathao, InDrive, and Yango. If you have a tour package from any agency, then their representative shall come with their private vehicle and drop to your hotel.
Initial Tips
Tourists are advised to extract cash from an ATM or exchange their US$ in the foeriegn exchange department just near by. They can purchase a Nepali SIM card, NTC or Ncell. Ncell sim can be purchased in the nearest Ncell office. While NTC sim can be purchased in the NTC Building at Naxal.
