For Foreigners : NPR 2,000 (Approximately USD 15). This price is for a solo trekker. They are usually given a Green TIMS card.
NPR 1,000 (Approximately USD 8). This price is for a group of trekkers with a licensed agency. They are usually given a Blue TIMS card.
For SAARC Nationals : NPR 600 for solo trekkers and NPR 300 for group trekkers

The first option is to apply via the online portal. Please follow the quick steps below :
Go through the site https://epermit.ntnc.org.np
Open an individual account. You will simply need to fill out the online form by providing relevant personal details.
Upload the scanned image of the passport.
Make an online payment through Visa/Master Card.
You will acquire the permit card in a PDF format within 24-48 hours. You will also receive a QR code along with it. So, you can take out the print on A4 paper.
The second option is paying directly at the in-person counters. After you arrive in Nepal, you can visit the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC) office in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur. The first option is applying online. This is generally done by the travel agencies. If you are purchasing any trekking package via a trekking company, then the TIMS card is managed by the company itself.
To make it clear, these trekking agency go thorugh the online portal, such as the NTB portal(https://ntb.gov.np). First, make sure that the agency you are choosing is TAAN registered agency. The agency will provide all the required information along with the payment via ConnectIPS/Nepalpay. After 1 or 2 days, the agency will provide you eTIMS in a QR Code.
